Ms. Guzhva was a founding attorney of Guzhva Law Firm, PLLC established in 2014. Subsequently, in August 2017, Olga merged her law practice with Desh International & Business Law, in a strategic alliance to offer her international clients the added value of a diverse and experienced legal team with a global reach.

Ms. Guzhva is a native of Ukraine, where she completed Graduate Law Degree (LL.B) in Zaporozhye National University, School of Law in 1996. As a corporate counsel in Ukraine, she practiced Ukrainian business law and litigation for over three years. Ms. Guzhva immigrated to the United States in 2000 and processed her own family-based application for conditional and permanent residence. Subsequently, she applied for and became a naturalized United States citizen. In 2011, Ms. Guzhva obtained her post-graduate Masters' Degree in Taxation (LL.M) from the University of Washington, School of Law, in Seattle, WA, and subsequently became a licensed U.S. attorney.

Since 2014, Ms. Guzhva assisted individuals and companies successfully navigate a complex U.S. immigration system. She advises clients seeking to obtain nonimmigrant visas and immigrant visas (green cards). She counsels clients in the areas of employment-related, investment, and family-based visas and in other immigration matters. Ms. Guzhva assists with the adjustment of status, asylum, naturalization and citizenship applications, and overseas consular processing.

Ms. Guzhva also represent taxpayers in a wide variety of tax disputes involving the IRS: federal tax audits, liens, levies, wage garnishments, tax penalty abatement, collections, installment agreements, offers in compromise, client’s eligibility for currently not collectible status, innocent spouse tax debt relief. She advises clients on tax planning and permissible deductions, and IRS tax compliance. She represent clients in the U.S. Tax Court.

Olga Guzhva remembers her own experience as an immigrant; her primary focus is providing each client with a clear understanding of the immigration process and applicable tax dispute resolutions strategies that lie ahead as well as a realistic assessment of the results that can be achieved.  Each client expects and is entitled to an honest evaluation.    

For over thirteen years, Olga Guzhva has resided in Seattle area where she is involved in the local legal community. Ms. Guzhva volunteers her time providing pro-bono legal representation to low-income families resolving IRS tax disputes and immigration matters. Ms. Guzhva gained additional legal experience working as a hearing clerk at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals in Irvine, California, and as a paralegal at various law firms in Seattle area.
